Natural Grocers open first store in South Dakota

Natural Foods by Vitamin Cottage Inc. said its summer openings will include a new store in Idaho and a store in South Dakota — a first for the Lakewood, Colorado-based grocer.

The Idaho store is located at 209 N. 3rd Street in McCall and the South Dakota location is in 2601 S. Louise Ave. in the Sioux Falls.

“When looking for new markets, we always look for areas where we can serve the existing community. With its beautiful natural scenery, plentiful outdoor activities, and vibrant cultural and dining scene, Sioux Falls is a great fit for South Dakota’s first Natural Grocers store,” a spokesman for Natural Grocers said in an email WGB.

The grocer said the McCall store will be its fifth location in the state of Idaho, following locations in Boise, Idaho Falls, Coeur d’Alene and Hailey. “Natural Grocers has been serving customers with a wide array of natural and organic options since 1955 and specifically the communities of Idaho since 2012,” said a spokesman for Natural Grocers WGB. “With such strong agricultural roots, vibrant cities and fantastic outdoor recreation opportunities, it’s no surprise that Idaho’s communities have welcomed Natural Grocers immensely.
